Took the lazy option today.

When I’m not working, I like to go out for a ride on the Pioneer, in the early morning. I was called in to do an overtime shift on Monday night, I cycled in and back, then yesterday morning, went to bed to catch up on the zzz’s, but couldn’t settle, so ended up back up again at 11.30. Went shopping with her indoors, and after watching more TV than normal, last night, fell into bed at 23.30. That’s very late for me these days.

Thus, come morning, I was a complete sleepy head, I heard my youngest son get up at 05.15 to go to his work, which usually, is my signal to get up and go for my ride. No chance, I could hardly open my eyes, and snoozed till 08.30., too late for that ride.

Spent the morning doing a bit of DIY, painting to be exact, her indoors wants changes completed by Christmas, so I’ve got to get cracking. WHY? Because, I’m the very slowest DIYer you’ll ever find, not much faster than my cycling pace. Then this afternoon we had to go to town on some errands, and drop off some birthday gifts etc., to our daughter-in-law Anne, whose birthday it is tomorrow.

Later, as we made our way home, we were delighted to see a perfectly formed and very bright rainbow, we both said we wished we had a good camera with us. I pulled the car over, and we both made use of our mobile phones. What do you think of the results?

Cheers.

  1. If you fail to get to sleep why not go out for a ride, even a short one, just enough to burn off that energy?
I find TV rots my brain and makes me feel more lethargic than tired if that makes sense.

I have a ton of DIY to do too, I work at average pace, but in very short bursts and maybe once a month 🙂

Looks like a nice road for cycling (empty) and a nice rainbow too.

So now you know EXACTLY where the pot of gold is – so what super-duper expensive luxury bike are you going to buy? I look forward to seeing the pix of that soon.
